Our ha’Mashiah Yahusha spoke many great words in His teachings. He seemed to say things with much deeper meaning than what they appeared to be about. Such is the case as in Matthew 6:33; "But seek ye first the kingdom of Elohim, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." As always, the words in which He spoke, when led by the Qodesh Ruach (qodesh Spirit), can lead us into the deep things of Yahuwah. This passage of scripture is much more wisdom to them that receive it without reserve, to the whole of its’ meaning. First, in all that we do, we should seek the Kingdom of Yah, and His righteousness. This is a big part of His calling to those that follow Him.

The kingdom of Yahuwah is the first thing mentioned, so we need to know what the Kingdom of Elohim is. Romans 14:17; "For the kingdom of YHWH is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the qodesh Spirit." So now that we have an idea of what the Kingdom of YHWH is, we have need to know what righteousness is. Seeing that the qodesh Spirit is our guide in all these things, what is righteousness? Already we see that it plays a big part in the Kingdom of Yah because it is mentioned so much. The songs of David are of the most beautiful songs ever written (I personally like Psalms 19:7-10). The clearest definition to what righteousness is, can be found in Psalms 119:172 "My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness." The Ten Commandments are the Righteousness of Yahuwah, to which we are called. We are to observe, keep, and speak of the Commandments of Yahuwah even as we speak of our Master Yahusha.

2 Cor. 5:20-21; "Now then we are ambassadors for the Messiah, as though Elohim did beseech you by us: we pray you in the Messiah's stead, be ye reconciled to YHWH. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of YHWH in him." In this sense, we should be as the words given through David in Psalms 40:8-10; "I delight to do thy will, O my Elohim: yea, thy law is within my heart. I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O YHWH, thou knowest. I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy loving kindness and thy truth from the great congregation." Even more as in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14; "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Elohim, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For Elohim shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."

Psalms 9:8; "And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness." Those that are of this world, even this world religion, view the Righteousness of Yahuwah as foolishness. They have, and still do try to justify their own way of understanding or religion as being the right way, some even claiming to be the only way. Yahuwah has something to say about all this: 1 Corinthians 1:26-31; "For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But YHWH hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and YHWH hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath YHWH chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in the Messiah Yahusha, who of YHWH is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in YHWH."

We will come across the path of those who stand in opposition of Yahuwah, or His Law, and seem to be unable to persuade them to righteousness. We might even suffer persecution from them, but we must continue to fight the good fight of faith. Keep planting seeds of righteousness, and with trust in Yaah, we may know that things will work according to His plan, and perhaps one of those seeds will take root and grow to bear fruit. Romans 8:28; "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love YHWH, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Here is even more concerning the issue in John 15:14-22; "Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his master doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin."

There are many that are called to follow after our Messiah, Yahusha, and from these are the ones that are the chosen of Yahuwah. Matthew 20:16; "So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen." John 6:37; "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." John 6:44; "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." Many claim to be in fellowship with Yahuwah, but fail to walk after the qodesh Spirit of Yah to the knowledge of the truth. Romans 8:1-10; "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in the Messiah Yahusha, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Messiah Yahusha hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, YHWH sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."Rom 8:7; "Because the carnal mind is enmity against YHWH: for it is not subject to the law of YHWH, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please YHWH. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of YHWH dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of the Messiah, he is none of his. And if the Messiah be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness."

Not only do some that are called fail to walk after the Spirit of Yahuwah, but they are a rebellious people. They refuse the Law of Yah that they might hear only what they want to hear, walk in the ways that they want to, and teach others to do the same. Isaiah 30:1; "Woe to the rebellious children, saith YHWH, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:" and Isaiah 30: 9-11; "That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of YHWH: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the qodesh One of Israel to cease from before us." And yet again in 2 Timothy 3:1-9; "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unqodesh, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of YHWH; Having a form of reverence, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was."

"But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be made manifest unto all men, as theirs also was." There are many in the world today that might fit the description of what we have just read, and it is this type of people that bring persecution against the true followers of Yahusha. There is much persecution that will come against the church in these last days, and it will come from this world's religious system. The "mother church" leads this world’s offspring churches in the great persecution of the Saints of Yahuwah.

1 Peter 4:12-19; "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Messiah's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Messiah, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of YHWH resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Messiahian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify YHWH on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of YHWH: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of YHWH? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the wicked and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of YHWH commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator."
